India Inc. doesnt care about women

On the final day of the World Economic Forum on India, at a session entitled Changing Mindsets: India's Missing Women, there weren't many minds present.Organizers had set aside the main hall of the forum for the event, with capacity to seat nearly a thousand people. In the event, barely a tenth of that number showed up.

Some panelists didn't let the poor turnout go unremarked. "GDP is everyone's god right now,' said Mallika Sarabhai, director of the Darpana Academy of Performing Arts. "The fact that there are so few leaders here from corporate India, tells you how little they care." Read more
