Taj Corridor: HC dimisses petitions against Maya
November 05, 2012  10:39
In what comes as a huge relief for former UP chief minister Mayawati, the Allahabad High Court today dismisses all the PILs against her in the Taj Corridor case. The CBI had dropped the case against Mayawati after the UP Governor denied prosecution sanction against Mayawati in 2007. The verdict comes after six petitions were filed against her in the Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court. The petitioners had demanded Mayawati's prosecution in the Taj Corridor case and they argued that Governor's sanction is not required to proceed against public servants in corruption cases.
