Doon Express derails: 3 dead, rescue ops have begun

Mewaram, an eyewitness, a vendor on the Doon Express tells CNN IBN that medical teams have reached the spot. Railways coach number S9 and two general bogies have derailed, while S6, S7, S8 and SE (extra coach) have turned turtle.

The district magistrate says the accident occured at 12:30 pm.

Sanjay Saxena CPRO, Railways, tells CNN IBN that rescue operations have begun. Injured are being taken to hospital. Three dead, he confirms.
