Want to be remembered as a soldier: Army chief

Addressing the media at the National Defence Academy's passing out parade in Pune army chief Genral V K Singh said, "There is no misunderstanding between army and the ministry of defence.'"

"The army is apolitical, secular and impartial. I have always wanted to uphold want army stands for. I want to be remembered as a soldier," the chief said a day before his retirement.

"Raising voice against graft is everybody's movement," he added.
