There is no dissidence in the party. Naveen Patnaik will be the leader of the BJD, said MP Pyari Mohan.

His remarks came after there was speculation of cracks within the ruling Biju Janata Dal in Odisha.

Two groups held separate meetings on Tuesday night at the houses of party member of Parliament Pyari Mohan Mohapatra and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who is on a London visit.

At least 21 BJD legislators, including three ministers met at the house of Mohapatra with some leaders terming the exercise as a "pressure tactics" by one group close to the Rajya Sabha member at a time when Patnaik is away.

Patnaik is expected to cut it short and return home, said sources.
