Rediff.com's Vicky Nanjappa reports that the special CBI court today rejected the bail plea filed by mining baron Janardhan Reddy.

Reddy, who is facing charges of illegal mining, had moved the court seeking bail for two separate cases in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He is considering moving the high court in the case.

The CBI court in Hyderabad had granted bail in the cases in Andhra Pradesh, 20 days ago. However, the CBI had challenged it and obtained a stay on the order. Reddy is at the Bangalore jail, which is where will remain till he gets bail.
