Our Delhi sources tell us that V Kishore Chandra Deo, the Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, is also in the race for the first citizen of India.

A long time Charan Singh confidante, Deo was minister in 1982 in his cabinet. He missed the position as Speaker of Lok Sabha as he was considered to be too close to Dr YS Rajasekara Reddy.

But now to show loyalty to 10 Janpath, Deo has been issuing daily statements against Jagan Reddy -- but only in Telugu daily newspapers -- and not national dailies.
