In a major set back to former Karnataka chief minister B S Yeddyurappa, the Central Bureau of Investigation has said that it needs him in custody for interrogation, reports Vicky Nanjappa

Filing strong objections to the anticipatory bail plea filed by Yeddyurappa, the CBI made it clear that if the case has to be solved then it would need all the accused in its custody for questioning. "It is necessary to take him into custody and interrogate him, the CBI said.

The bail plea was filed after the CBI took over the probe into the illegal mining scam following a Supreme Court directive to probe Yeddyurappa.

"We need to complete the probe in three months as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court and we need to put out a perfect case. We cannot afford to have any roadblocks,' CBI officials said.
