The REAL story behind Sanjay Joshi's resignation

From a Rediff correspondent:

The resignation of BJP leader Sanjay Joshi from the party's National Executive was inevitable in view of Narendra Modi's stubborn nature and his confidence that his supporters like his autocratic way of playing politics.

According to sources, in closed-door meetings with senior BJP party members, Modi had argued that Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi had to resign from the Standing Committee as he was caught in a sleazy CD row.

Modi argued that Singhvi was not even seen indulging in actual sexual activity but still he had to go.

But in the BJP, when a person (read Sanjay Joshi) is, allegedly caught on camera in an embarrassing position with a woman in bed, he becomes a member of the BJP's National Executive, Modi pointed out.

Sanjay Joshi has stoutly denied all allegations regarding the sex CD.

Modi has won this round and has demonstrated the power that he wields but, eventually, he will also emerge as the leader who is not large-hearted enough to practice pragmatic politics.

Modi is in a great danger of acquiring the public image of a dictator who is performing very well in Indian democracy
