Kapil Dev, Kirti Azad will not get BCCI bonus

Kapil Dev was left out of the list of former cricketers due to receive the one-time monetary benefit announced by the BCCI for former national and domestic cricketers who retired before the 2003-04 season.

Kapil Dev told CNN IBN that it is BCCI's prerogative who they want to give the cheque to. Sources have revealed, the BCCI has scratched the name of former India player Kirti Azad from the list of beneficiaries for the one-time payment following his fast at the Feroze Shah Kotla ground in protest against the alleged financial irregularities in the IPL. There is no official word from the BCCI yet on this issue.
