Little seems to have changed in international diplomacy. This is what the Dawn, Pakistan has from its archives, 50 years ago.

Official sources confirmed yesterday that Pakistan has conveyed its views to America on its reported race with Russia to be the first to give latest military equipment and aircraft to India, but said that no protest had yet been made. No protest or representation has been made to Britain or the Soviet Union, they added.
