PM, Sonia release UPA II report card

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh while addressing allies and MPs during a dinner to mark UPA II's third anniversary admitted although a lot of work has been done during the last year, still his government needs to do better.

 

He also said that the internal security situation in the country has improved, and also emphasised on the fact that the country has witnessed a record food-grain production.


PM Singh and Congress president Sonia Gandhi then unveiled UPA II government's report card.

Congress president Sonia Gandhi who spoke at the function said that the government was firm on its priorities. She said that the government was being run with determination.


The Congress president warned that the next election would be judged by their work and not by promises. Sonia Gandhi also hit out against the government's opponents, saying that they were targeting the UPA with baseless arguments.
