In yet another ceasefire violation, Pakistani troops today fired at forward Indian positions in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district disrupting border fencing repair work.

No one was injured in the firing from across the border, an army official said. Pakistani troops fired Pika rounds targeting forward areas in Sabzian belt along the Line of Control at around 1050 hours, he said. "Our troops were carrying border fencing repair work at the time of firing. They fired six to 8 Pika rounds. The aim was to disrupt the repair work," the official said.

The fencing repair work was disrupted for some time, he said. "This is also a case of ceasefire violation," the official said adding the army would lodge a protest with Pak authorities.
