Tendulkar becomes an MP today

Sachin Tendulkar is all set to make his Rajya Sabha debut as he is expected to take the oath on Wednesday.

Sachin, whose tenure as a Rajya Sabha member began on April 27 along with veteran actor Rekha and industrialist Anu Aga, is busy playing for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

Rekha took oath in the Upper House of the Parliament yesterday. Watch the live proceedings on rediff.com shortly.

Sachin's nomination to the Rajya Sabha invited mixed reactions. While his fans supported his candidature, many questioned if he could take out time from his busy schedule and do justice to the job.
