The Central Bureau of Investigation is conducting raids
at the Bengaluru residence of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa as
part of its ongoing probe into alleged illegal mining. Searches area also on at
the residences of his two sons and son-in-law.
The raids come a day after the CBI filed an FIR against Yeddyurappa, two sons and his son-in-law and formed a special nine-member team for the probe.
Last week, the Supreme Court ordered a CBI probe against the BJP leader for "serious illegalities" in mining activities.
