Twenty-four Air India flights were cancelled on Tuesday as the strike by 200 pilots entered Day 8. All flights from Mumbai to London, Newark, Riyadh and Shangahi were cancelled.

Meanwhile the pilots appealed for talks with the government. Willing to talk if government stops being obstinate, said the pilots association.

Air India on Monday extended the bar on bookings for its West-bound flights till Thursday, even as it mulled the option of shutting down global operations till a resolution is found to the pilots' strike.
