All of the passengers and crew aboard an oil rig helicopter that ditched in the North Sea today have arrived safely back on land, officials said. Coast Guard officials said in a statement that 14 people -- 12 passengers and two crew -- were on the aircraft when it came down just after noon 25 miles off the coast of Aberdeen, Scotland.

After being put in life rafts, nine men were flown to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary while the other five people were taken to Aberdeen by lifeboat. Eight of the nine sent to the infirmary have been discharged and one man is being kept for observation, said James Ferguson, a doctor at the hospital.
