12 AI, 12 KF flights cancelled, 72 KF pilots 'sick'

Back to the continuing turmoil at airports. Around 12 Kingfisher flights were today cancelled after the pilots reported sick in protest against non-payment of due salaries. Civil aviation minister Ajit Singh says he will meet Prime Minister Manmohan over the issue.

 

Air India has refused to take any more international bookings till the 15th of this month. Twelve Air India flights were cancelled this morning as were seven Kingfisher flights, according to media reports. 

The total number of sacked pilots of Air India now stands at 46.

A total of 72 Kingfisher Airline pilots have called in sick in all of north India. The airline's pilots are protesting against the non-payment of their salaries.
