Naxals abduct ASI in Orissa, driver let off

The cop was on his way to a CRPF camp with a water tanker when the abduction happened in the Naxal dominated Nuapada district of Orissa.

NDTV reports, however, say the cop is missing and not abducted. Maoists have called for a bandh in seven states including Andhra Pradesh, Orissa.

This abduction comes less than a week after Sukma collector Alex Paul Menon was released by Naxals.
