Zakia Jafri gets SIT report on Gulberg carnage

Just in: The Ahmedabad court hands over the SIT report on the Gulberg Society massacre during the post-Godhra riots to Zakia Jafri. The metropolitan court in Ahmedabad handed over the final copy of the SIT report today, a month after the Supreme Court-appointed SIT gave Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi a clean chit. The report had sought a closure in the probe as it found no evidence against Narendra Modi. Apart from the SIT report, which runs into 25,000 pages, Jafri also got a copy of the Amicus Curiae report.

Jafri, the widow of former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri who was among 69 persons killed in the Gulberg society carnage.
