Hillary: I authorised $10mn bounty on Hafiz Saeed

The session is being held at the Townhall at Kolkata's La Martiniere school. Clinton says she authorised the $10 million bounty for information on Hafiz Saeed.

She says, "It was our way of showing India that the US stands by it in its fight against terrorism. Both India and US are pluralistic societies and the threat from terrorism is a common factor because of our culture of tolerance."

Clinton pointed out that extremists hate tolerance. "They want everyone to think the way they do."

And therefore she says she has told Pakistan that it is in their interests to have a strong counter terrorism operation.
