Whistling Woods will live for 100 years: Subhash Ghai

Noted Bollywood producer-director Subhash Ghai, whose film institute Whistling Woods is embroiled in a property battle, has said his academy will go
on to live for 100 years.

Last month, the Supreme Court had asked Ghai to return the Whistling Woods land in Mumbai, measuring 20 acres, to the state and also rapped former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, saying he could not have treated anyone as is "blue-eyed boy".

"Whistling Woods is in question today. But I can assure you that it will be alive for 100 years no matter how much one tries to bend it," Ghai said on the sidelines of Dadasaheb Phalke award ceremony held last night. The Supreme Court had upheld the Bombay High Court order quashing the 20 acre land allotted to his film institute in Film City.
