Washing hands saves lives

On the Daily Mail: Thousands of deaths have been prevented in hospitals because medical staff are being more diligent about washing their hands, a study has claimed.

Legend has it that after an unusual desultory concert at the Royal Albert Hall in London, MS Subbulakshmi by way of an explanation told the essentially British audience that she was couldn't concentrate when she realised everyone present had not washed up for their morning ablutions.
