VK Singh: Army should get adequate arms, ammunition

You may recollect that this is Gen V K Singh's last month as Army Chief. He retires on May 31.

Gen Singh spoke who is in Jaipur today witnessed the Armed Forces war games Shoorveer and said the issues relating to the defence sector that have come up recently were "complicated" and solutions to them have to be found within the parameters of transparency.

"As far as the Army is concerned, if any battle happens, the Army will fight with full enthusiasm, zeal and with whatever resources it has. We want...and Standing Committee of the Parliament is also of the view that the Army should get adequate quantity of arms and ammunition the force requires," he said.
