Why are you staying with male cousins, cops ask Manipur woman

Police in Gurgaon have confirmed a report of a 23-year-old Manipur woman being molested at her home. Police said that they registered a case after the unnamed victim contacted them. However, the police instead of lodging the complaint immediately, reportedly questioned her about why she lived with two male cousins in an apartment.

They said the victim had told them that she had forgotten to lock the door after entering her home.

The victim claimed that the police unnecessarily questioned her about why she was staying with her cousin brothers. She confirmed that she was working in a shopping mall in Gurgaon and that the molestation had taken place on Monday.
