May 02, 2012  15:15

A Pune court today gave its clearance for a polygraph test on seven policemen in connection with the murder of Right To Information activist Satish Shetty, who was murdered in 2010 in Pune. Shetty had exposed several land scams in the Talegaon-Lonavala region in Maharashtra, a favourite with realtors in the state, using RTI.

Satish was hacked to death by unidentified men in January 2010 in Talegoan after exposing corrupt land deals in and around the country's first expressway from Mumbai to Pune over a decade ago.
