Congress to move privilege motion against Swaraj

The Congress is likely to move a privilege motion against Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj for her comments against vice president Hamid Ansari questioning his stature to become President.

Congress MPs have expressed their anger over Sushma's remarks. Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj, who took initiative in outlining the BJP's strategy on the President election, her pronouncements failed to go down well even with the NDA partners.

Swaraj on Monday had asserted that the BJP will not support any Congress-backed candidate for the President's post and hinted at support for APJ Abdul Kalam as a consensus candidate. Read more here
