BRICS important to world peace: China

The Chinese prez adds that it will take a few more years to develop a more rounded structure to BRICS as it's still starting out. China is committed to take BRICS to a new level. He says that the body accounts for 42 per cent of the global population, including India and China, two of the world's most populous countries. It also accounts for 40 per cent of global GDP and its proportion is rapidly increasing. "We are therefore important to world peace," says Jintao.
