Army's badge of shame

The Indian army's saga of shame continues. Ironically, the chief of the army is inextricably linked to this unfolding tale. First, it was a pointless squabble over the army chief's date of birth. Something that could have been corrected and resolved within a few minutes was made to drag on to an unseemly legal battle between the army chief, V.K. Singh, and the government of India. No sooner had the dust died down over this controversy that Mr Singh chose to burst another bombshell.
