6.4 quake in Japan, no tsunami

Meanwhile, a 6.4-magnitude quake struck northeastern Japan today, but no tsunami warning was issued, the Japanese meteorological agency said. The quake hit at 8:00 pm (local time), off Iwate prefecture in the Pacific with the focus estimated some 10 kilometres below sea level, the agency said.
