PC on hostage crisis: Orissa CM did not ask for help

Union Home Minister P Chidambaram took on Orissa Chief Minister Navin Patnaik on the Italian hostages issue. Chidambaram said Patnaik did not ask the home ministry for help, but despite this the Union Home Secretary was in touch with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police. The Centre is ready to rush an officer conversant in English-Italian-Hindi to liaise with the abductors.
