Court asks: Why should John be granted bail

Rediff.com's Toral Varia reports:

The Sessions court has directed the police to detain John Abraham, but at the same time has told John's lawyer advocate Harshad Ponda to present before the court the provisions under which John should be given interim relief to appeal before the High Court.

The hearing will be held at 2.45 pm. Ponda had requested the court the court to give his client time before the surrender/arrest.
