Mayawati reaches Raj Bhavan to hand in resignation

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati has reached the Raj Bhavan in Lucknow to submit her resignation to Governor B L Joshi.

Since her party received a severe drubbing in the polls, the outgoing CM has not made any public appearance.

She has not even issued a statement to the media. Political pundits, however, caution against writing off the firebrand Dalit leader so soon.
