11 Mayas can breathe again, but still under wraps

Eleven Mayawatis could breathe somewhat easy today as wraps began to come off but the twelfth one has to wait another day. The Uttar Pradesh administration today began taking the covers off 11 statues of the chief minister and 208 of elephants, her party symbol, following a directive from the Election Commission, which had ordered them wrapped to ensure a level playing field.
