PM to go on 2-day visit to Pondicherry on Friday

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will undertake a two-day visit of Puducherry from Friday evening.

Dr Singh will inaugurate the UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute for South Asian Regional Co-operation for peace at the Pondicherry University.

He will also deliver the convocation address at Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research on June 30, and inaugurate a women and children hospital with 426 beds, academic block and the newly built hostel complex built at a cost of Rs 342 crore.
