Cong: Manmohan to stay PM; no to Kalam, Somnath

The AICC has finally made a statement on the PM as a presidential candidate almost 15 hours after the SP and TMC suggested his candidature.

Spokesperson Janardhan Dwivedi says Dr Manmohan Singh will remain the PM till the elections in 2014. "There is no question of the PM being elevated to any other post," he says. He also said that APJ Kalam and Somnath Chatterjee are not acceptable to the Congress.
