Asaid champ detained for rape

Bizarre news: Asiad champ Pinki Pramanik has been detained on charges of rape. A complaint was made that Pramanik is in fact male.

Pramanik won a gold medal at the 2006 Asian Games in Doha, has been detained by the West Bengal police for torturing and attempting to rape a woman. The victim has claimed that Pinki Pramanik is actually a male. The police have sought a permission for a medical test from the court on Pinki to ascertain her sex.
