'Already know what's on UPA's mind, won't attend meet'
June 14, 2012  16:26

Mamata Banerjee tells CNN IBN that there is no reason to participate in the UPA meet tomorrow as decisions have already been made. Mamata says she already knows what's in the UPA's mind. She says her stand remains the same, she will support APJ Kalam.

In other words, she will not under any circumstances, support Pranab Mukherjee as the nominee. For her the candidate is really, anyone, but Pranab.

Point to be seen is whether Mulayam will continue to support Mamata after his meeting with Sonia Gandhi this evening after the SP Parliamentary committee meeting.

Mamata said earlier that she announced the names of the Congress candidates only after a go-ahead from Sonia Gandhi and political secretary Ahmed Patel.

Is Mamata painting herself into a corner?
