Show-cause notice for profs who criticised Mamata

Two professors have come under fire for criticising West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee government's economic policies.

Two professors - Shampa Sen and Devashish Sarkar - who had criticised the state government's economic policies on a recent television show, have been issued a show cause notice by higher education council.

The notice criticises both the professors and asks them to explain their stand. It further says that they cannot talk about the government's policies in such manner.
