PM, Sonia hold consultations to chalk out strategy

Meanwhile, the Congress top brass including Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and party President Sonia Gandhi today held consultations to chalk out a
strategy for minority sub quota in OBC reservation.

The government has decided to challenge Andhra Pradesh High Court order that annnuled the Centre's decision to provide 4.5 per cent quota to backward minorities out of the 27 per cent reservation bracket for OBCs.

However, there have been conflicting versions from two different ministries over the timing of filing a special leave petition in the Supreme Court against the High Court order.
