Krishna leaves for China to attend SCO summit

External Affairs Minister S. M. Krishna left for China on a three-day visit beginning today to attend the 12th Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit in Beijing. Krishna would be representing the Prime Minster, Dr. Manmohan Singh, at the annual Heads of State summit of the SCO. India has an observer status in SCO since 2005.

He is also expected to meet Chinese Vice Premier Li Keqiang during his Beijing visit.
