Dimple Yadav set to address her first rally at Kannauj

Massive rally happening at Kannauj. On the stage are UP CM Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple, who was the unanimous choice of the Samajwadi Party's parliamentary board which announced her name after an overwhelming number of party workers demanded that the she be chosen to contest from Kannauj.

Dress in a grey sari, Dimple looks composed as she faces her first rally. The by-elections necessiated after Akhilesh Yadav resigned from the Lok Sabha after he was sworn in as a member of the UP Legislative Council after becoming the chief minister.

The fact that the Congress has not fielded any candidate against Dimple, shows the increasing ties with the Samajwadi Party.
