10 militants killed in US drone attack in Pak tribal area

United States drones targeted Taliban militants gathered in a house in the South Waziristan tribal region on Sunday, killing at least 10 of them in the latest in a series of attacks carried out by CIA-operated spy planes despite protests from the Pakistan government.

The drone struck in Barmal area of South Waziristan tribal agency, TV news channels quoted officials as saying.

At least 10 of them were killed and several others were injured, local residents said. TV news channels quoted officials as saying that some foreign militants were among those killed.
