Ajit Singh announces parity in pay scales of AI, IA

Aviation minister Ajit Singh says there will be parity in pay scales between Air India and Indian Airlines, and an uniform working hours policy. Announcing the Dharmadhikari Report's recommendations, Ajit Singh says the pay and seniority levels will be fixed in 45-days time with April 1, 2011 set as cut off date for new pay sacales. He promises that senior employees won't be paid less than junior employees.
