PM announces Rs 100 crore aid for Assam

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today announced Rs 2 lakh each to kin of those killed in riots in Kokrajhar, Rs 100 cr as special assistance for development of the area.

"We must address causes of the conflict; there will be a proper inquiry into the tragic incidents," said Dr Singh during his visit to Kokrajhar iv violence-hit Assam.
