Mamata, Mithun charter flight to greet Pranab

Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee met President-elect Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday night and congratulated him on being elected to the top post.

Banerjee, who will be attending Wednesday's function for the swearing-in of Mukherjee as the next President, drove to his Talkatora Road residence straight from the Delhi airport soon after her arrival from Kolkata.

Mamata reached Delhi by a chartered flight and she was accompanied to Mukherjee's house by actor Mithun Chakraborty.

Sources close to the West Bengal Chief Minister said Mukherjee thanked her during their interaction.
