Karnataka CM Jagadish Shettar has promised action against MLAs who cross-voted in the presidential polls. A panel will be formed and action will be taken, said Shettar.
Fourteen disgruntled Bharatiya Janata Party MLAs from Karnataka voted for Pranab Mukherjee, said sources.
Massive cross-voting in Karnataka helped Mukherjee get 53 per cent of the vote from that state. He polled 117 votes, against P A Sangma's 103. Sangma, the BJP's candidate, should have got 116 votes, taking into account that allegedly three BJP votes were found invalid.
