PM tries to dissuade Pawar from quitting Cabinet
July 23, 2012  15:31
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh talks to NCP chief Sharad Pawar. He tried to dissuade the NCP from quitting the Cabinet.

A meeting of the NCP is currently underway at Pawar's residence in New Delhi. The party is expected to discuss its future course of action at the meet.

Pawar, meanwhile, said he will not attend a dinner tonight hosted by the prime minister for all ministers. Pawar's RSVP conveys what the Congress is worried about -- that he is prone to pulling his party out of the union government, and will provide external support to the ruling coalition, reports NDTV.
