NCP meet ends, compromise with Cong likely

After meeting Sonia Gandhi for about half an hour, NCP chief Sharad Pawar headed for his residence where he held confabulations with his party leaders. While Praful Patel was already waiting at Pawar's residence, other NCP leaders Tariq Anwar and D P Tripathi later joined them. The NCP leaders are weighing their options.

However, there was no official word as to what transpired at the meeting. Instead of his official vehicle, Pawar used his daughter's personal car to drive down to Sonia Gandhi's residence this morning. The NCP leaders remained huddled in the meeting at Pawar's residence from 10 am, which was still on.
