Krishna asks for immediate probe in US navy killing

Update on the firing on the killing of an Indian fishermen by the US navy. External Affairs minister SM Krishna has asked for details of the incident and has directed Indian officials in UAE to look in the matter with utmost urgency.

Meanwhile, US has released a statement on the tragic incident saying that it had issued several warnings to the boat carrying the Indians before firing at them.

As per the statement their warning were not heeded. An Indian fisherman was killed and three others were wounded on Monday when a security team on board a US Navy ship fired at their small boat off Dubai, a United Arab Emirates official said.
